South East England Malayalee Association
South East England Malayalee Association (SEEMA) is a cultural organisation representing the tradition and rich heritage of Kerala, a State in southern India. SEEMA was founded on the 8th of July 2005 with the purpose of promoting and maintaining the rich heritage of Kerala, and to establish a forum to provide an opportunity for all Malayalees in the south east to meet and exchange views and to foster goodwill and friendship with other communities. it aims to improve the quality of its members life by organizing family get togethers, cultural and sportive events, family outings and celebrating our traditional festivals from Kerala.
Kerala is located on the south-western tip of India with the Arabian Sea on the west. The state-better known as God's Own Country- is today one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Asia. Secluded beaches, palm, fringed backwaters mist clad hill stations,lush tropical forests, water falls, exotic wildlife , monuments ,art forms and festivals give it a distinctive charm. Apart from being a tourist destination, Kerala boasts of 100% literacy, highest life expectancy and the lowest infant mortality rates among Indian states.
